Digital and Technical Resources

Check out the following tools below to help you succeed in graduate school. For additional information, please review the EITS New to Campus website.

Wireless

UGA’s preferred wireless network for all students, faculty, and staff with a valid MyID is PAWS-Secure, which is available throughout campus. Instructions on how to connect to PAWS-Secure are available on the EITS Help Desk website.

ArchPass

Some UGA systems, including eLearning Commons and Athena, require more than your MyID and password for access. To log into these systems, you’ll need to use ArchPass, UGA’s two-step login solution, powered by Duo. To begin using ArchPass, enroll a smartphone, cell phone, landline phone or tablet through the self-service portal at archpass.uga.edu. You can enroll multiple devices.

eLC

UGA’s online learning management system is called eLearning Commons (eLC). Instructors use eLC for course assignments, learning materials, quizzes, class communication and more. Each semester, you have automatic access to eLC for your classes. You can access eLC at https://uga.view.usg.edu/d2l/login.

Zoom

All UGA students, faculty, and staff can login and use Zoom, an online meeting tool that allows for video or audio conferencing from desktops or mobile devices, at no charge. Go to zoom.uga.edu to establish your account.

Google Workspace

Google Workspace, also known as G Suite at UGA, offers eligible students, faculty, and staff access to several popular Google collaborative tools within the uga.edu domain. In Google Workspace, you can easily access multiple Google tools, including Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and collaborate on files from those tools with colleagues and classmates. These tools provide unlimited storage for your documents and files. More information is available on our Google Workspace page.

vLab

Remotely access lab software “anywhere, anytime” via a web browser on any device. To get started, visit vlab.uga.edu and enter your UGA MyID and password. Once logged in to the vLab, students can use the virtual desktop to access the fully functional applications.

WEPA Print Kiosk

Forgot to print a class assignment? Ran out of ink in your personal printer?  Use WEPA print kiosks, the University of Georgia’s cloud-based printing service for students. Located in the Learning Resource Center at the Gwinnett Campus. For more information, visit https://eits.uga.edu/support/printing_kiosks/.

Office 365

All eligible UGA students, faculty and staff have access to download Office 365 software to their personal computers by logging in with their MyID to the Microsoft portal. You can also download the software through your online UGAMail account. You can download the software on up to 10 devices. More information is available on our Office ProPlus page.

Grammarly Premium

Your Student Activities Fees help to provide all UGA Gwinnett students with a FREE Grammarly Premium license. If you don’t already have a Grammarly Premium license, you’ll receive an email invitation after the add/drop registration period ends. Grammarly Premium provides a host of writing supports, such as an instant writing assistant to correct contextual spelling and grammar mistakes, and a plagiarism detector to spot unoriginal text. Keep an eye out for your email invitation (check your SPAM folder, too!). If you have questions, contact Mr. C., Charles Crisman, at [email protected].
