Policies and Procedures
The University of Georgia seeks to promote and ensure academic honesty and personal integrity among students and other members of the university community.
Every student must agree to abide by UGA's academic honesty policy and procedures known as A Culture of Honesty, when applying for admission to the University of Georgia. A Culture of Honesty and the University of Georgia Student Honor Code work together to define a climate of academic honesty and integrity at the university.
All members of the university community have a responsibility to uphold and maintain an honest academic environment and to report when dishonesty occurs. Where suspected violations of the academic honesty policy occur, appropriate procedures are designed to protect the integrity of the academic process while ensuring due process. The university's academic honesty system is an academic process founded on educational opportunities.
The Office of the Vice President for Instruction is responsible for the university's academic honesty policy and procedures and supporting the University of Georgia Student Academic Honesty Council to ensure that information related to the academic honesty policy is available to all members of the university community.

The normal operating hours for the main reception areas of the UGA space in the Intellicenter Building are listed below. Operating hours may change during final exams, semester breaks, and in case of serious inclement weather. The Gwinnett Campus is closed on all holidays recognized by UGA. During the normal schedule you should be able to enter the main lobby of the Gwinnett Campus without an access card. Access to the second floor administrative offices and faculty prep area is set to coincide with business operating hours of Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. After these hours, you will need to use an access card to enter the administrative area.
UGA Lobby and Normal Operating Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Faculty and staff should make every effort to schedule classes and meetings during the campus normal hours of operation.
Information on campus closing due to holidays or emergencies is reported on the UGA Gwinnett website, the UGA Gwinnett Facebook page, and/or on metro-Atlanta radio and television stations. Schedule changes or cancelations on the UGA main campus do not necessarily mean that UGA Gwinnett Campus classes are canceled or affected. Individual class cancelations are not reported to UGA Gwinnett staff and are not announced on the website.
Academic Affairs has established a listserv, GWINNETT-NEWS, for dissemination of important information to faculty, staff and administrators who are associated with Gwinnett programs. This list is not a discussion list and is only used to disseminate important information regarding the Gwinnett Campus and programs. To join the list, email Ben Hall at email@example.com.
Children under age 16 may not be left without adult supervision at any time. If unattended children are identified, the adult responsible for them will be asked to leave their class or meeting to attend to them.
Children may not attend classes without the express approval of the course instructor.
Animals are prohibited inside all campus facilities, except in areas where academic pursuits require their presence (e.g., animal science, veterinary medicine, etc.) or in cases where the animal serves a disabled person (e.g., guide dogs).
Flexible workspace is available to faculty based upon their needs and time spent at Gwinnett. A faculty prep area with computer workstations and tables to use personal laptops in is located on the second floor administrative area. To reserve a cubicle, please contact Trudy McAfee at (678) 985-6790 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
All requests for schedule changes should be made through your departmental contact person and must be entered into the Banner system before a classroom can be reserved for the class. All requests for classroom changes, rescheduling missed or canceled classes, and special event space should be directed to Jill Rhoden, Events Coordinator for the Gwinnett Campus: email@example.com or (678) 985-6807.
The University of Georgia class attendance/absence policy is followed at the Gwinnett Campus. The Gwinnett departmental coordinator, assistant or academic affairs office should be notified of an unexpected absence, so notices can be posted for students.
Additionally, please note that the Office of Student Affairs does not play a role in excusing student absences, such as verifying student documentation for routine absences or religious observances. The decision to excuse an absence, allow make-up work, or reschedule/make up an exam is solely the prerogative of the instructor.
Parking is free and is available on the north and south sides of the Intellicenter Building. Parking is shared by UGA program participants and other building tenants. No parking decal is needed.
