UGA Gwinnett Campus Library
The Gwinnett Campus electronic library offers students, faculty and staff access to the collections of the UGA Libraries, as well as to the GALILEO suite of databases. There are 10 computer workstations and several tables available for group work. Ben Hall, the campus reference librarian, is on-site to assist students in conducting research, identifying, locating and retrieving electronic and print materials, as well as with basic computing. Students may print documents from the library workstations using a Bulldog Bucks account.

Print Sources through the GIL Library Catalog
Using GIL
For UGA-owned items: go to the GIL catalog to find the item. Click “Request” in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Enter your student information. A drop-down box should appear and you should be able to select the Gwinnett Campus (NOT Georgia Gwinnett College) as the pick-up location.
For Non-UGA-owned items: Find the material information (Author, Title, Date, etc). This can be found in sites such as worldcat.org or Amazon.
Use this information to complete an Inter-library loan request.
Acquiring Print Sources through GIL Express
GIL Express allows UGA users to access and request materials from the other 34 schools in the University System.
The GIL Universal Catalog works the same as the regular UGA library catalog. Using the search boxes, find the item you want. Click on it, and you will see a menu at the top. There you will find “GIL Express Request.” Click that, and it will ask you for your barcode (from your student/staff id)–IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU SELECT UGA AS THE HOME INSTITUTION. A box will then appear saying “GIL Express Request.” Click ok, and you will have to enter your student data again, and specify your pickup location. This is where you select “Gwinnett Circulation.” You should then click submit, and receive a confirmation. When it arrives at the Gwinnett Campus, you will be notified. You can then pick the item up during regular library hours, and return it to the library, or the drop box in the lobby.
